The Route

We will be following the Adventure Cycling Association’s Transamerica Route for the first week or so. Then we’ll continue on the Western Express Route. These bicycle touring routes have been extensively researched and mapped, and are ridden by hundreds of bicyclists each year.

Tentative Schedule

Day 1: Newton-Hesston-Buhler-Nickerson-Sterling, 58 miles. Map
Day 2: Sterling-Larned-La Crosse, 88 miles. Map
Day 3: La Crosse-Ness City-Dighton, 68 miles. Map
Day 4: Dighton-Scott City-Leoti-Tribune, 70 miles. Map
Day 5: Tribune-Eads, 58 miles. Map
Day 6: Eads-La Junta, 67 miles. Map

Update: We did arrive in La Junta on Saturday, but due to flooding we took a significantly different route.
